Youth & Community Outreach

As Youth Workers with Alex House, we are able to meet youth where they’re at to provide free and confidential information, resources, and support to help young people access what they need.

Look for us and our Outreach backpacks, which have snacks, candy, water bottles, naloxone kits, harm reduction supplies and lots of information about services and resources in the South Surrey/White Rock area.

If you are a local school or group with opportunities for sharing resources and connections in a youth room, clubs, classes or events, please let us know.

If you are hosting a community event where our youth and family team may be able to attend and bring information and resources about our programs and resources, we would love to know.

Some of the things we can connect youth to are:

  • Housing supports or shelters

  • Getting ID

  • Employment search & creating a resume

  • Financial supports like income assistance, bursaries, funds for activities and recreation

  • Free youth recreation passes for swimming and fitness

  • Access to food and snacks

  • Health care and dental care

  • Free harm reduction supplies and naloxone kits

  • Toiletries like shampoo, soap, deodorant, sunscreen

  • Menstrual products

  • School, Art, or Self-Care supplies

  • Clothing, like socks, shirts, or warm winter clothing

Our Youth Outreach program is generously supported by the Surrey Cares Community Foundation. Thank you so much for supporting youth in our community!
